Hi Nick
This is Paula in Port St. Lucie.  I never saw anything like this...under the
mulch where  the creeping juniper is I saw thread like white stuff.  I thought it
was mold and I'd get around to cleaning it all up.  Well thats what I started
doing today.  What I found were gross pure white round egg size things.  
Took one to the road and opened it up. It looks like a worm in gel.  
Yuck...now I don't even want to go finish digging!

Hi Paula, nice to hear from you:) I gotta be honest, I don't have a clue!! I would recommend clearing out the entire area and discarding it, that is what I would do, you might also take a sample to your local Cooperative Extension Service (County office). Nick
