What is this

Question

Don't know what it is
Hi CL
This has been sprouting up in several areas of my garden.
Can you tell me what it is?

Answer
Pat,
This looks like Agastache foeniculum - common name anise hyssop. Although the variety called 'Blue Fortune' doesn't self-seed, the straight species is a notorious self-seeder. Fortunately easy to pull up, but I'd either deadhead or pull those that have appeared before they go to seed.

If you like it, either keep and deadhead or buy 'Blue Fortune' so you don't have to worry about seedlings.

all the best,
C.L.
