Massangeana Cane

Question

Massangeana Cane
Hey Nick can you please help me I just got a Massangeana Cane on June 18, 09 doing good have not repotted it yet its in a 12inch pot.I am planning on waiting till next spring to do it will that be ok. I am using those selfwatering glass globe, I just was looking at the plant and there are 3 trees in one pot and 2 of the tree trunks has got green on them but the plant looks very good is this normal.the other one is normal looking.and the bark looks fine so here is a pic.

Answer
Hi Helen, you can wait on transplanting them, but just be careful not to soak those roots, you don't want to rot them; I could not make out the "green" on the trunks, from your image and really can't say what it may be without actually seeing it. If you could show me a close up of the green area it would help a lot. Nick
