Nick, thanks for answering my question regarding the date palm a few weeks ago.
I had mentioned that it had a little bit of green on the outside of it. Unfortunately the green part has gotten smaller.
Today, I pulled some more fronds out of the center. Maybe it's the crown? I'm not sure, but here are a couple of pics.
Answer....pull out any fronds that pull out easily and then spray the Copper fungicide directly into the opening where the fronds came out; this is a last ditch effort for the prognosis isn't very good at this point, for it looks like the crown has rotted (bud rot). Be patient though, for some times they rejuvinate, but it can take a long time, months or even up to a year for progress to show. Nick
