Frost bitten dwarf banana palm

Question
Hi, my dwarf banana palm has been bitten by a frost. All of his leaves are black and droopy. Do I cut them off now or wait until Spring? He has 2 large trunks with 3-4 mature leaves on each trunk. He is about 5 feet tall.

Answer
Hi Erin, leave it until Spring,,,the surface plant is toast, but the underground Corm (root system) is still alive, so cover the ground around the Banana and keep the Corm from freezing,,,,in the Spring , new growth will emerge...and its a Banana plant not a Palm....lol..just for your edification....let me know if you need any more input..Nick
