Banana Trees

Question
I have banana trees about six years and they have never produced fruit, they usually get hit with the frost in winter and they just grow back, what should I do to make them produce fruit?

Answer
Hi Fran, therein lies the problem, they need to get through 14 months of frost free weather, or else they just continue to attempt to produce with no result. If a banana is hit by a frost or worse, a freeze, it is set back, and starts all over with its 14 months clock.
