Frostbit Trees

Question
On April 7 & 8 we had a heavy freeze 25 degree's.

For the past month temps were above normal low to mid 80's.

Our crypt myrtle trees were frostbit and it appears the leaves are going to fall off, will the trees grow new leaves this year?

Answer
Crept Myrtles are a hardwood type tree and will releaf after some damage has taken the leaves off --like frost. They are very resilient and will have no problem with the frost. All it might do is delay the leaves and the flowers until a little later in the year than normal.
