IT APPEARS THAT BORE WORMS ARE TAKING OVER MY PROPERTY, ONE PLUM TREE AT A TIME. SOME OF THEM APPEAR TO BE BLEEDING A SAP LIKE SUBSTANCE. THE WORMS ARE SMALL AND WHITE IN COLOR.

Answer
Spray the trunk with an insecticide called Merit. This will kill the borers in the bark. Check with your local nursery/garden type store for Merit. Borers attack trees that are under stress so I would recommend that you fertilize the trees with 10-10-10 fertilizer at the rate of 1 lb per inch of trunk diameter scattered around the tree and watered in good.
