damaged Norfork Island Pine

Question
Here in Houton we experienced about 3days of temps 28?32?about six weeks ago.  I have several Norfork Pines that are 12-15 ft that are planted in the ground as well as a couple of 5 footers that are in pots.  After the freeze, they are slowly turning brown.  Can they be saved?  What would you recommend?  Help.  Thanks,tom-Houston

Answer
I would wait and see how they respond this spring when the new foliage appears. The ones in the ground should be ok the potted ones will depend on if the roots were frozen or not. I would give them until mid May to see if they put on new foliage or not.
