Moving Shrubs

Question
When is the best time/way to move a viburnum (leatherleaf, I believe) and a hydrangea (not sure which kind)?  Both are well established plants but need to be moved b/c we are building a deck.  Can the hydrangea tolerate morning sun and afternoon shade?  Thank you.

Answer
hello Allison
both can be moved the viburnum will like the light conditions mentioned but the hydrangia will require a little more sun. when moving make sure you have a good rootball. circle the dripline and dig around the shrub and under it then lift it out. replant using a little of the soil from the site taken. water throughly. Good Luck  Larry  ;-)
