Question
Alright, I'm in Central Ohio, which, from what I can tell is around zones 5 and 6...I was wondering, when do roses bloom in this area.  When do they start, how long do they bloom, and when are they at their height of being pretty?  For some reason, I can find this information nowhere.  Thanks for your time.

Answer
Roses take anywhere from 6 weeks to a couple of months, to bloom from when they first started to grow. Planting is usually done in late March to early April in your area. Hybrid teas bloom in two flushes. The first one will have the most flowers and then around 6 weeks, they will bloom again and may even have a few scattered flowers in between the flushes. The middle of June to the middle of July is when hybrid teas are at their peak performance. This isn't totally accurate as it also depends on the weather and the cultivar. Some roses are very vigorous and grow quickly while other slowly build up. Hope this helps. Lynnette
