Roses under an oak tree

Question
I live in the New Orleans, LA area and I have two oak tree's in the yard.  I would like to plant miniature roses under the oak trees, the sun does filter thru the trees as I have grown flowers there in the past summers even grew a tomato bush.  Is there any rose that would grow with filter light.  I should add these tree's get the morning sun.
Thanks

Answer
There is a class of roses which would do very well under the oak tress and they are called Hybrid Musks. They do grow tall (5 feet) but can be made shorter with hard pruning back. Here is a link that shows you some pictures of them. Just click on the Hybrid Musk tab.

In regards to the mini roses, most should do well, however there are colours that are prone to disease if they don't get 6 hours of full sun. Yellows, scarlet reds plus oranges tend to get black spot more than the other colours. Hope this helps.
