Pacific Northwest Roses

Question
What roses grow well in -or are native to- the Pacific Northwest?  I am particularly interested in those that will do well in shade.  I am interested in all types: bushes, climbing, etc. I have heard there is a spreading rose that will "run right out into the forest." I would like to know what this rose is, I heard about it on the gardening show on NPR radio. We live in a cottage surrounded by a forest of tall cedars and firs, and vine maples. Most of our garden areas have at least some shade.  Thank you so much in advance for your reply.

Answer
I garden in the PNW and have never heard of a rose that will grow so vigorously . I have a website that will show you all the roses that you can grow in the PNW with comments on how they grow and if they get diseases. People say it helps them decide on what roses to get. Have a look at the Hybrid Musks as they are the main roses that will do okay in part shade.
