different rosses on 1 bush

Question
i have a white rosebush but last yr one of the branches had some red roses on it, this yr is the same.  its really nice with  white and  red roses,

iv never seen a rose bush with different coloured roses, is this normal

Answer
Two things could be happening on your rose. One is that it has sported back to a red rose in it's background. The other is that it is a sucker coming up from the bud union called Dr. Huey. If it is just a sport, then it will probably revert back to the original colour of your rose. However if it is a sucker, it will in time take over your whole rose bush and become a red one. If the red roses are on the same cane or stem as a white one, then it is a sport. But if the red is all on one cane, it will be a sucker and should be removed.
