Question
I have a yaupon bush that has two branches and I have cut these to look like balls.  One branch is looking great, the other on is turning yellow and loosing it's leaves.  I live in Texas and this bush gets the evening sun and the temp. has been in the low 100's.    I don't understand both branches are coming from the same root and one is good and the other is trying to die.  Any suggestions.

These plants are quite hardy in your area. I suspect that there is something wrong with just that one branch.  Look for any injury-or lesion-- just prune out that branch and be sure to water it occassionally, especially during the heat/dryness.
