QUESTION: Sorry I did not realize I could attach a photo so I am posting my inquiry again!
"Good Morning ~ I have an issue with my rose blooms. They are beautiful as buds & when they first bloom but after a day or so the bloom starts to turn a rusty/dead look, it seems to start on the outer edge & work it's way to the center. If I don't deadhead them it turns darker as time goes on. Please advise me how to correct this. The roses are plentiful & beautiful at first.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!"

ANSWER: HI Reg,

Have you been having alot of rain for an extended period of time?   It looks like damage from rain.

Also, have you fertilized them?  A good complete fertilizer 10-10-10 or weekly dose of Miracle Gro for roses will help also.   The yellow leaves will go away once the wet conditions are gone.

Please let me know if this does not help you.

Thanks,

Jay

Answer
Hi Reg,

Let's try botrytis.  This is a fungus that results from warm/hot days and cool nights.  It will cause the flowers to not open or open and then turn brown.  An all purpose fungicide for roses will help with that.

How often do you water.   Sometimes yellow leaves means that it could be not enough water and that could be causing the flowers to brown quicker as well.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Jay
