Snap Dragons and Dazzler Gaillardia

Question
Should these flowers be "dead headed"?  If so, on the snap dragons should I pinch off hard green "pods"(or are they new buds?)Please forgive my inexperience, but I have moved into my first home and learning...What is the best way to dead head a snap dragon?  Or should I even try?

How about the Dazzler?  These stems are a stiff, and after the flower has a bloom that is getting past its prime.  Should I cut the stem down to where it comes out of the main part of the flower.  Or just cut off the hard middle part where the bloom once was(now, it is just the middle of where the flower was..The flower now looks like a "she loves me,she loves me not"...after you have pulled the peddles off.

Any help is appreciated..

Thanks

Answer
HiTy,
Thanx for your question.  You can deadhead all annuals for the best blooming.  Many perennials can also be deadheaded to increase blooming.  For snapdragons, dead head the blossoms that are brownish, wilted and spent looking.  Just pinch them off at the base between your thumbnail and your forefinger nail or use a pair of scissors.  Same thing for the gaillardia except you'll need the scissor and just cut anywhere along the stem.  I hope this helps.
