Name of plant, and care of plant

Question
I was told that the plant that I have is in the succulent family. The name on the container said Esheveria. How often should I water this plant and should it be in direct sun light. Also should it have any special kind of potting soil.I was also told that it can not be planted outside. Any information will be very helpful. Thank you for your time.

Answer
Juanita,

Your echeveria is a succulent and can only be planted outdoors if you live where it never gets below 40 degrees farenheit. It should be planted in soil that is half sand and half potting soil. It should get as much sun as possible, but if you put it outdoors in a pot for the summer it should be where it is in the shade in the afternoon so it doesn't get sunburned. You should not water it until it is very dry, a week between waterings during the summer and 2 weeks between waterings during the winter. The site below may have additional care info:

If you have more questions write again. Good luck.
