I live in SW Florida and the tips of my plants have turned dark and mushy.What should i do for them?

Hi Lisa, cut off the mushy , damaged extremities, the exposed parts will callous over and new growth will commence in the Spring; we should be ok now that January is past, but just in case, if we do get another cold snap, wrap them tight with a blanket or frost material.
