Question
I am also a Zone 6 gardener in the mountains of
Arizona.  I have a large artemesia that I would
like to transplant.  Can you tell me when the
best time to move this plant would be & what
conditions it works best in.  Has thrived for the
past 5 years in full sun but has gotten too large
for the garden it is in.  You can use my question

Kathie, There are dozens of Artemesias and I love them all.They are sweethearts in the garden.The silver foliage is a must for any garden.I use it like crazy!
But you did not mention what type. Can you either tell me the variety or send a photo to my email address:[email protected]. I have a Silver Queen that is tall and airy and I swear I can pull it up by the roots and transplant sooo easily.But there are different types that you need to dig and divide with a sharp spade or a dividing tool.Let me know what type you have.
