Moonflower

Question
My question is twofold. One, how do I save the seeds from the pods for next years planting? Two, I currently have an orange colored bug eating the leaves down to the stalk!!  What is the but and what can I do to get rid of it?

Answer
Hello Debbie

Once the pods are ripe (dark and dry), open then up and remove the seeds.  Place the seeds in a brown paper bag - if you can't get a brown paper bag any dark colored receptacle that can be closed up will do, but not a plastic bag!  Put the container of seeds somewhere dark and cool until next spring, when you can start the seeds off in pots.

As for the orange bug - I'm not sure what this is, so I'm going to suggest that you go back to the AllExperts gardening menu and click on the link for 'Pests'.  I'm sure you'll be able to find an answer to the problem there.
