Hi Matthyew,
Thanx for your question.  The best way to prune an Asiatic lily is to wait until late summer or early autumn when the foliage has turned yellow/brown and cut this off at the ground level.  Discard in the rubbish can to prevent spreading any diseases.  I hope this helps.
