hello tom. i have an evergreen euonymous that did well last year, very bushy, but now the new growth this year has gotten very leggy. can you give me some ideas what might be causing this and what i can do about it?

Hi Deb,
Thanx for your question.  Your plant just needs to be pruned.  Is the plant in a particularly shady area?  This can cause legginess.  Also, too much nitrogenous fertilizer can cause this.  If you are getting lawn chemicals into the soil near the shrubs this can cause legginess.  Most likely though, it's just the plant growing and needing a trim.  Sounds like it's healthy to me.  I hope this helps.
