perennial with a frost

Question
Do I have to cover perinnials for a frost? Getting one tonight - a quick response would be fantaastic! Thank you!

Answer
Hi Dee,
thanx for your question.  Sorry for getting back to you late.  I forgot to put myself in vacation-mode.  Many perennials will not be harmed by a mild frost this late in the year.  Some perennials that are getting ready to bloom would be safer under an old bed sheet or light blanket if a frost, particularly a hard-frost, is being anticipated.  I hope this helps.
Tom
