Question
I plant my first pie plate hibiscus this year and now am not sure how to get it ready for winter.  Do I cut it back, or leave it alone?  I live in Ohio.  Thank you.

Hi Rosemary,
Thanx for your question.  Cut the plant down to the ground, discard to old material and mulch the plant with some straw, leaves or bark.  You can mulch it at about 6 or 7 inches deep out about two feet from the main plant for best results.  I hope this helps.
