Shammrock & Moses in the Cradle

Question
Two questions.
1. I have a shammrock and I want to see what i can do to help it grow in thicker. It has very few flowers coming up. My grand mother used to have these and they would be just so full, to where I would have to transplant them. How Can I do this?
2. I bought 2 Moses in the cradle. Now, I am curious as to, It says annual on the tag. But when I have read about this plant. Most of them say it is a prennial. Can you tell me more about this plant? I have them plants at the bottom off my stairs that go to my swimming pool. Is that a good spot?

Answer
in warmer climates moses in the cradle can act like a perennial. die to the ground, but the root system stays alive and regrowth begins when warmer temps arrive. in colder climates they die completly w/the onset of winter. they have to be replanted from new plants that were protected from the cold weather. many plants are perennial in warmer climates and annual in colder climates. the pool step area may be good especially if it shades the plants during the heat of the day. chlorinated pool water is not good for them.
