Question
Hello,

I am starting to see white spots on my palm tree. I can take a
napkin and wipe them off. What are these caused by and how can I
resole it. My last plam tree finally died and I replaced it about 6
months ago. Now this one is stating to get the same thing. The
leaves then start to die.
I have the palm with decorative moss around them.

Hi Ellen,

I suspect that your palm has mealy bugs, but I cannot be sure without a more detailed description than "white spots." If the spots are soft and have a cotton-like texture, let me know and then I will provide mealy bug treatment instructions. If they are something else, please describe them or e-mail a photo to me at [email protected].
