Aloe vera watering

Question
ive got my aloe vera in my conservatory and in the summer it gets to about 40c do i need to water it every day becouse it seems to like a good water

Answer
Hi Mike,

The frequency of watering depends not only on temperature, but also pot size, soil porosity, light intensity and humidity. Thus, I cannot tell you just how often your particular plant will need water.

Certainly your Aloe will use more water in high temps. In general, you should water it throughly whenever the top half of the soil dries out.

I do have some concern about 40C temps on a sustained basis even with adequate water. That kind of heat may be too much for your Aloe. Keep it in a  cooler location, if possible.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
