ornamental pepper plant

Answer
Hi Teri,

Capsicum annuum (Ornamental pepper) requires lots of direct sun to thrive. It also prefers temps in the upper 60抯 and low 70抯. Water it thoroughly as soon as the soil surface feels dry to the touch. These are sold as ornamentals and because they are often treated with chemicals, it is best not to use them to spice up your food. The colorful peppers will last for a few months. You may want to discard it after that, as it is difficult to get it to flower again. However, you can keep it as a foliage plant. It is a small plant and rarely needs repotting.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
