Pepper plant not producing

Question
I have planted a single green pepper plant in a large planter with fertized soil in May. So far it has grown about 2 ft tall w/ lots of blossoms and beginning buds. however, there is no sign that the buds are growing! Should I have planted at least 2 plants side by side to successfully grow peppers? Any ideas? Thanks!

Answer
Joan:

These plants are self pollinating. Shake the plant a bit and let the pollen fall. The bees will also help you.

Slow down on the nitrogen that you use. Water once per week. I think that your plant will start to produce.

Best wishes.
