Rabbit Paw Fern

Question
My friend has a Rabbit Paw Fern that is over 50 years old.  Can you tell us about it???

Answer
Hi Bettemae,

I am not sure what you want to know. If your friend has been caring for it for 50 years, I don't think your friend needs any advice from me! But perhaps your friend recently inherited it.

Like most ferns, the rabbits foot fern likes bright light, but protection from the direct rays of the sun. The soil must stay moist at all times, but not wet. This is accomplished by watering it as soon as the surface of the soil feels dry. Fertilize it sparingly with a dilute fertilizer high in nitrogen. High humidity helps, but is not necessary as long as the soil is kept properly moist.

What else would you like to know?

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.

If this information has been helpful, please take the time to give me a rating and nomination.
