fern

Question
I left a fern hanging plant outside when the frost hit. Is there anything I can do to help it, because it does not look healthy. Thank-you

Answer
Kimberly,

All you can do is trim off the parts that do not look healthy then hang the fern in a bright east facing window and fertlize it. That should stimulate new growth and get it on the road to health in short order. Ferns do like a lot of humidity so if you can set some pans of water on your registers in the room that the  fern is in the water will evaporate and raise the humidity making the fern much happier. If you can get it to survive till spring when you can put it back outside and fertilize it heavily then it will grow a lot and be beautiful again in short order. Good luck.
