Palm Tree dying

Question
I re-potted my palm tree with the cactus/palm and moisture plus potting soil, now the leaves are dying.  I watered it once a week with a cup of water and it sits in a window with a lot of sunlight.  Can you tell me why my palm tree is dying?

Answer
I have come up with a few theories, if could be that you aren't watering it enough, or that you are using tap water. If tap water has chlorine or salt or any compound besides 2 Hydrogen Atoms 1 Oxygen atom or of course fertilizer, or in other words Nitrogen, etc. I think you get the point and if you don't I mean Distilled Water or Rain Water, not Human Water, not tap water. Maybe Well Water if there is no additives! That and I would give it some more water, each week don't get me wrong you don't need to give it as much as normal because of the PEAT MOSS, in moisture plus. So if you wanted to save money just mix 1/5-1/4 parts Peat Moss in regular soil. It's easy and allot cheaper. If you need anything else you can email me, ask me a follow up even if it's not on the same subject, or you can email me at [email protected] or in plant emergency email me at [email protected].
