odd plant
We have a plant here a the hospital that was donated years ago. Right now it has very long green leaves 2-4 ft long, it has an onion like bulb and at times sends up a long stock that has something that comes off of it that looks like pearls. Can you help us ID it? Thanks for your time. Lori
AnswerHi Lori, I'm sorry but I cannot ID your plant. I wonder if you were to cut one of the leaves if it actually smells of onions? I have some much smaller bulbs growing in pots which have long leaves and throw out a long stem with small white flowers and they definitely smell of onions but I have no idea of their name. Perhaps a local garden centre might be able to come up trumps. I'm sorry to have failed you.
