Dear Delilah,

I will answer your question within a day or two - can't right now I'm afraid as was in a car accident earlier today and don't feel up to doing anything but wanted to let you know.

Diana

Hello again Delilah,

I am not sure what plant you have as over here in Europe - I am in southern Spain - the Umbrella plant and dollar tree are two different things - also do you mean Umbrella plant or Umbrella tree as they are two distinctly different plants with different needs.  I find it is always best to give the botanical name so there is no confusion.

However, having said all that, whatever plant it is it still has spots on some of the leaves.  These are usually caused by a bacteria or fungus and I would suggest that you remove an affected leaf and take to your garden store for indentification so that you can buy the right product to treat the plant.  Personally I would remove all the affected leaves and dispose of them.

I hope you manage to rid the plant of this problem.

Diana
