Is Lavendar edible? Are there certain species that are edible and some that are not? How toxic is lavendar leaves to pets?

The best one for cooking is the french or fringed lavendars. Chefs use the other varieties, but sparingly. I don't know if it is good to feed your pet this and they normally don't like the smell. Look up edible lavendars on the google search engine.
