I have searched high and low and cant get a straight answer;Is the gourd edible

Dear Danielle,
In a word: NO, the gourd is not edible. I'm sure somebody has some exceptions to the rules or stories about . . . but as a rule, a gourd is not edible. That dates all the way back to Scripture.
