Rosemary Bushes Turning Brown

Question
I have 3 large rosemary bushes in my yard.  They are located in different areas.  Parts of them are green and blooming and parts are brown and brittle.  I can't see any bugs.  Not sure what is happening but I love them and want to help.  They are 6 years old.  Thank you

Answer
Jenean:
The plants can have a few problems. Sometimes the soil has been depleted of what rosemary likes. If you have had them 6 years in the same locations, it may be just that. I find pruning the branches of 1/3 of new growth on each branch will help stimulate new growth. I feed plants with liquid fish fertilizer and/or seaweed good growth. Chemical fertilizer is too fast for herbs. Fertilizer can be purchased from home depot/lowe's. Let nature do all the watering. I hope these tips help. Be sure to prune off all the old growth .
