Pencil Hollies

Question
My Pencil Hollies leaves are turning brown at the bottom and in side the plant and falling off.  The top is getting new growth.  I don't see or feel it's mites.  What could it be?  Thanks!

Answer
Terry:
Water may be an issue. Be sure it is getting a deep irrigation. Be sure that the soil drains good and doesn't hold a lot of water, this can lead to root issues.

I would also consider snipping off a few leaves/twigs that are turning brown and show them to your local garden center or nursery.  It would be important for someone to see a physical sample rather than a photo in this particular case.

Steve
