drying wild lavender

Question
I have lots of a blue/gray plant that smells like lavender when you crush the leaves. This is growing wild on my property. However, the flower stalks that have formed have mineut yellow flowers. Is this wild lavender? Can I dry it and use for sachets just like cultivated lavender.

Answer
Sharon:
I can't say if this is lavender, but do a small amount of this first. If fragrance is still scented after a few weeks, then do the rest. Make sachets for closets, linen closet, auto, laundry. Lavender is said to relax you and bring calmness around you. Good Luck!
