I got this at Lowes 3 years ago and have no idea what it is.

It's Sarracenia purpurea ssp. venosa, commonly known as a purple pitcher. Ideally the pitchers should be very red, hence the name. So I'd recommend growing it in full sun. For more information on how to grow Sarracenia, read our care sheets online:
