Question
hey Steve
i have just came back from school and i had realized the our neighbor have cut down an old tree and bits of wood chips have rained over my plants. i am worried that they will die because that tree was poisoned by the previous owner.what should i do!!

I would just remove the wood chips from the plants before you water them or it rains, by hand or with an air-blower of some kind . If That is hard to do, then I would try holding the pot in one hand or arm and washing the wood chips out with a spray or stream of water; even tap, well or city water is OK for this purpose and just for a few minutes, so long as you spray or water thoroughly afterward with distilled water, collected rain water or reverse-osmosis water to eliminate the tap or well water, which probably has too many dissolved minerals and could harm carnivorous plants over the longer term.
