baby nepenthes

Question
Hello.
I have several Nepenthes in my home. They all produce small baby plants. My question is what to do with these plants. I don't know if i can plant them in their own pot. Do they have their own root system or are they still on the grown plant? What should i do?
Regards, Marcel.

Answer
Hi Marcel,

You can definitely transplant them to bigger pots.  Just be very gentle, and try to leave the root ball intact.  Nepenthes roots are fragile.  Here's general care information:  http://www.growcarnivorousplants.com/Articles.asp?ID=266

Since you are new to growing tropical pitcher plants, consider taking a look at our volume #3 DVD.  It will help you with all the basics and more of growing these plants.  http://www.growcarnivorousplants.com/Grow-Carnivorous-Plants-DVD-3-p/01113.htm
