Are there any carnivorous plants that can grow in your yard?

Hi John,

If you mean grow in your yard, planted in your yard, the answer is no.  Most carnivorous plants need to be in a low-nutrient, peat moss based soil.  All typical garden soil is too rich, and not wet enough.  However, lots of carnivorous plants are suitable for outdoor growing as container plants or in bog gardens in the Pacific Northwest.  Here are some resources:
