Hoods

Question
My Daina's Delight had one of it's hoods ripped off.  Should I cut off that pitcher?  I'm worried that it will fill with rainwater and collapse.

John

Answer
Hi John,

When a leaf is damaged it's more of a personal choice on whether you cut the leaf off or not.  It won't harm the plant, and it's also not a problem if you leave it.  Getting rain in pitchers is not that big of a deal, and it happens even when the lids are there.  You can always stake it up.
