Question
sorry about all the questions recently but i have a big problem!  i was pulling the dead leaves off my P. moranensis and the whole plant came out of the soil!  no roots were attached!  i took off some leaves and put them on the soil in hope of regenerating the plant.  i grow it under 32w cool white flourecent tubes (on 11 hours a day)and i mist it with fertilizer like too much (everyday but light) oops!  what is going on?  will the leaves root?  help?

Answer
Hi Hayden,

It will probably recover.  Just push it back down in the soil.  The leaves you took off may very well root and develop plants.  That is how we propagate them.  Also, back off the fertilizer.  Do that about once a month.  If you were having trouble with root-rot, that is probably why.  Also, don't mist them so much.  Mexican butterworts are sensitive to having their leaves too wet.

Good Growing!
