Mystery sundew?

Question
Mystery sundew?
Mystery sundew?
Hi Sarracenia Guys,

I picked up this little sundew at a local Lowes, I felt sorry for it and had to save it from their death cubes.  Can you help me identify it?  It's very small, about 2" in diameter and looks like they just got it recently given that it's not in too bad shape.  There's no description on the package, only that it's a "sundew".

I currently have it in the bright shade, removed the death cube's cover, and it's still in the original pot.  I watered it with distilled water and hope to give it some time to adjust before putting it in the sun.

Thanks.

Answer
Hi Akira,

Since this is a mass produced plant, and from the flat nature of the leaves I'm going to say this is Drosera spatulata Frasier Island Form.

A speedy way you can get this plant looking good is to cut off all the older leaves leaving only the growing crown.  This will minimize transpiration, and allow you to put it in full sun right away.  You may see some reddening, but the new leaves will grow out fairly fast and be bright red with lots of dew.

Good Growing!
