Brazillian Coriander

Question
I live in VT. and would love to bring in the Brazilian Coriander that I bought this past spring. Can I bring it into the house and have it go dormant. I have a perfect basement for this.

Answer
I'm not familiar with any plant called Brazilian Coriander...do you have a botanic name? I know of two types of Coriander - one makes small seeds and the leaves are used in cooking, and the other makes large seeds for use as a spice in cooking. The small seeded variety goes to seed fairly quickly, and is often called Cilantro or Chinese parsley.

This coriander does not overwinter well, but self seeds pretty readily. I suspect you are talking about a different plant. If you describe it - height, flowering if any, color of flower etc maybe I can figure out what you've got.

all the best,
C.L.
