Weeping Mulberry infestation

Question

Spots on Weeping Mulbe
We live in Ontario, Canada and we have a 10 year-old weeping mulberry (fruit-bearing).  Last year, we lost most of the leaves early, due to a brown "rash" covering the majority of each leaf.  This year, the same thing seems to be happening, only earlier this time.  We have spotted tiny, iridescent, green flies on the leaves.  Are they damaging the leaves?  How can we get rid of them?

Answer
Hi Christina,  I have mulberry trees that do the same thing and also fruit.  Usually during the more rainy time of year you see this.  I have been spraying mine with Atomic Grow and the new leaves coming out do not have this on it any more.  It is totally organic and brings the plant back to health so it is not attacked by pests and diseases that you would normally need to use poison.  kathy
