worms/carpet

Question
Hi there ,
I've been seeing a lot of these worms things in my house for the past 2 years.
mostly in my bedroom closets and in and under the base boards.
they are all different colors I've seen black, red, white, some with stripes, no hair though.
and they are always under something they don't just come out.
for example:  i have my laundry baskets in my closet and when i take them out to do laundry there is always some there, and the like to crawl and dissapear   underneath the carpet. i haven't seen any other bugs, so what could they be a larva for?? they are itty bitty and they wiggle like crazy, sometimes even curl up. can you please help me figure out what this is?? I'm scared to leave my clothes on the floor for even sit on the floor!!
Thank-You for your help!

Answer
Wanda,

Could you post a picture of the worms? Your description does not fit anything I'm familiar with. If you can't post a picture I'd suggest capturing a few in alcohol and take them to your local Extension office or a university. You can pick them up with a Q-tip dipped in alcohol.

I hope this is useful.
